"This mystery novel kept my interest. My quibble with it is the lack of detail and character motivation. Left me thinking, "huh? did I miss a part? mmm." Always annoying when you realize that no you didn't and you are left to gather through inference what is happening. Also skipped some of the techy computer parts. I do not want to read about the intricacies of UNIX code. I had not read the other books in the series and was able to folloew along without the background info in the earlier books. All in all a fair book and as a quick, I want to be entertained without too much work it is a good read."
"The book had a very good plot and had me hooked all the way up until the ending. It SUCKED!! I would recomend reading it to those who like the murder mystery genre, but just be forwarned that the ending doesn't hold come up to the standards of the rest of the book. It folows Dr. Kay Scarpetta in an investigation of murders thta apear to be done by a copy cat of a man that was exicuted at the begining of the book. It turns out that there was a HUGE consipracy and the man that was exicuted wasn't who the prison said he was."
"Couldn't guess this one...well only partly. I like the fact that the characters are living in between the books. Makes them more real. I like it that the books just don't take up right when the last one ends. I think I'll read more."
"I was a bit skeptical over whether or not I should have picked this book up. This is due to the fact that I hated how the previous one ended. However, I must admit that I was really wrong. This book was great and my new favorite of Cornwell (who I think is the master at this genre) This book was totally creepy, and I loved every page, and the fact that the killer runs at the end, really intrigues me to keep up on these novels. The thing I love about Cornwell, is that she makes getting from point A to B, so much fun. I've read so many mysterys where getting from these two point was just pure BLAH, and the action never came until the killer was revealed. This is not the case with this book. I thought it was just amazing"
