Callie Creed and Trace Blackthorne fell in love while in college and kept their relationship secret. Then a tragic accident happened which tore them apart. Callie cuts off all ties to Trace and heads home to take care of her family and run their ranch. Trace is heartbroken, and leaves the country.
Eleven years later, Trace comes home to help his ailing father run their ranch. He meets up with Callie again and is surprised at how much he still loves her. She is now a widow with two children. He is determined to win her back.
