"This fall I read three of Clive Cussler's adventure novels: Artic Drift (3), Corsair and Medusa (3). While I like Dirk Pitt and Kurt Austin, I find Juan Cabrillo and his "Oregon" crew to be the most eclectic and fun. The main plot of Corsair centers around a Presidential cabinet member who is kidnapped on the eve of an important Middle Eastern Peace Conference. What made me pause for thought was the last paragraph where an interesting piece of archeological evidenced is presented and the its importance is explained--very intriguing...."
"It never ceases to amaze me how Clive Cussler takes that exact same cookie cutter story but each and every one are fresh and keep you guessing. He weaves historic events, with modern events, and some type of archeological find."
"To be fair, this book deserved a 3.5-3.8 rating. It was another great hair-raising adventure story in the Oregon Files series. For some reason I didn't care for it as much as some of Cussler's other books in the series, but it was still a great read --- the kind of story that you just can't put down because the action and tension never stops. This one was a bit less believable than the others because the characters were so invincible that they were almost superheroes, but the background was real enough and plenty scary --- a rather frightening story in the aftermath of 9/11."
"This is a much better than average Cussler book. First, there are a lot of action scenes that are compelling. Second, there is no ridiculous romance and no ridiculous plots about the world ending. The part about Jesus really made me wonder if Cussler is a Christian, which would explain why all the books are pretty clean and devoid of cussing. Fun book to read!"
