The last surviving member of this group, Krystyna Chiger, shares one of the most intimate, harrowing and ultimately triumphant tales of survival to emerge from the Holocaust. "So...i don't see myself finishing this one. The chapter at the begining setting up the story really tells the entire story....i'm getting bored b/c the author continues to repeat herself again and again. the story, in itself, is truly sad, scary and horrible. But we already know the end..she makes it...so does most of her family...and those that don't make it, she talks about in the first chapter. Not one of the more interesting books about this horrible war..."
"Perseverance - how a family could go into hiding underground in the sewers is beyond my comprehension. The "green sweater" made by the girl's grandmother hangs in the Holocaust Museum."
