"Through having studied a serious amount of biology, I was fully aware that evolution by natural selection is a fact, but this book gives a lot more ammunition to the rational thinker than what only biology can offer, by going into great detail about the geological and paleontological evidence that's out there. I'm still 1/3 into the book and yet to see what else it has to offer. The the way the facts are presented are very fluent and pivoting and it's a must-read for all curious minds who are honest about learning the facts about why and how we're here."
"If you're on the fence when you commence reading this book you won't be by the time you've completed it. Or probably after two chapters. If you're a die-hard anti-evolutionists, this won't convince you. Because he acknowledges that, yes, there are questions and puzzles in the theory that have not been adequately addressed. But what he does extraordinarily well is turn the tables and ask creationists to make sesnse of the existing data without resorting to reasoning like, "the Creator is kinda funny that way. He just does wacky crazy unpredictable stuff that somehow perfectly fits a model of evolution. But it ain't evolution." And once that ploy is taken away, there are far more puzzles for creationists to explain than for evolutionists."
"As I read this book, I wondered: why am I only learning about evolution in depth NOW...and through my own desire to learn? How did I get through school--including a Bachelor's Degree--without really understanding the nitty gritty of evolution? I think much of the problem is that so many discoveries were so recent, but actually there is no excuse. I THInK I paid attention in school. But if I remember learning about Geometry, and, in fact, had at least one high school class CALLED Geometry, shouldn't I have also had a class called Evolution? If there was such a class offered in my enormous suburban public high school, how did I get out of it?
