"In the early 1980s, a series of apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary, to several visionaries, was reported in the town of Kibeho, in Rwanda. The apparitions were eventually approved as authentic. One apparition in particular apparently predicted the Rwandan genocide.
This is a light, very readable history of the Kibeho apparitions, written by a survivor of the genocide (which story is told in her book Left to Tell). Immaculee also includes her own personal memories of hearing about the apparitions when they occurred, when she was a girl.
The book also contains, as an appendix, instructions for praying the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows."
