"I think this is on par with the Icewind Dale trilogy. Anyone who has been reading Salvatore's works should not skip this. It's a long and complex story revolving around Cadderly the priest, and all of his tribulations, his growth, his faith, and his relationships with the people around him.
Cadderly is a very unique character and throughout the five novels, you can see how he grows with the experiences he gains. You can see him work through gray situations and how he rationalises and deals with morality, his faith, his loyalty, and his love."
"I've thoroughly enjoyed the Drizzt books, and was looking forward to reading more about Cadderly after reading where the two worlds collide. I enjoyed the five books, although I agree with other reviewers that the fifth book was a little too dark for me. Also, Cadderly is somewhat wimpy in the first book, so the second through the fourth books are the best. Finally, I agree with other reviews in that Danica is actually the most interesting character. It's revealing that Salvatore confesses that he actually wanted to write the books about a druid rather than a cleric. Consciously or subconsciously, that's exactly what he did. Overall, I enjoyed the books, but prefer The Dark Elf series, Icewind Dale Trilogy, and even Legacy of the Drow to the Cleric quintet."
