"I loved both these books, even after someone ruined part of the plot by saying that they are much like the Star Wars movies (4,5,&6). I love the unique idea of the physical and psychological connection that Eragon and Saphire have. I also loved that Paolini was able to keep immature characteristics in Eragon's nature. Too often older writers loose sight of the drives and thoughtlessness of youth. However, I think that due to Paolini's own youth he was able to translate the recklessness into his character. Unfortunately his most recent book in this series, Brisinger, was poorly done. My review of that will come with the book."
"I probably would have liked this more if I were a teenage boy, but overall it was a good book. The story is really good, I just got bored with all of the build up, fighting, etc. I feel like it would have been better if you cut out part of it and got to the point, but then again I am not a teenage boy and all of the fighting was boring for me."
"This book (Eldest) was outstanding!!! I wasn't sure how he, the author, could/would describe the ending battle scene in the book and give you the same feeling as if you were watching the battle on a movie. It was so good and tied up the end of this book perfectly and led perfectly to the next book. This whole book I never thought that Murtagh and the Twins were actually dead. I also thought throughout the books that the Twins were the bad guys, but the one part that Christopher Paolini caught me off guard on was when Murtagh was the new rider! That was an amazing idea! I did not see that coming. That was really smart of him to bring him back into the books this way. Also, it was amazing how Murtagh was so much stronger than Eragon in magic even with all of Eragon's training. I like how Chris made Murtagh a tough enemy. I loved this book and i think this book was one of my most favorite books yet! I recommend it to everyone."
"A little long and wordy, but I liked them. I guess my only complaint is that at times you can really tell they were written by a teenager, but still I was impressed. There is no way I would have been able to write books like these when I was seventeen."
