"I felt this book was trying too hard to cover everything the author wanted to convey at this, the last book in the Dundee Agency series. There were 3 romances, all with men who didn't want to be in love; too much of the same thing. Too many threads were undeveloped or left me thinking "why mention this?". Where the author had a great storyline going, it seemed to be over before the suspense kicked in. There was never a pinacle. Many, many typos in my edition!!! I have read other books in this series (altho I can't remember the names of any, nor the H/H, which maybe should tell me something) but won't go back in fill in the holes by reading her backlist. Sorry, Beverly."
"1. This was the last book in a very long series. It could be read as a stand-alone, but I found myself wishing I had known what happened prior to this book. I would have cared a little more about the characters, I think.
2. Parts of this book took place in the town I live. That kind of took me out of the fantasy aspect of the book, which is what I'm looking for when I read. No big deal, but a little weird.
"The story was well written for what it was. It was a spy/chick flick. Think Charlies Angels...love, danger, and betrayel. A cliche is the best way to describe it. Damsel in distress, "prince Charming" sent to the rescue. This would be what i consider a good beach read."
