"This book includes a panel's choice for the best movies of all time. They are arranged chronologically, and are accompanied by a blurb about the movie, and its information (such as country, running time, cast, awards, etc.)
I didn't like how the blurbs gave away so much of the movie plot. For example, I read the information for My Man Godfrey, and then watched it later that night, and the entire plot was ruined by what I read in the book. Since this book is meant for people to find new movies to watch, rather than for people who have already seen the movies, I think it goes too in depth with the plots.
Also, of course, the list is highly subjective, and there were many left off the list that I think should be on there, and many on the list that, from the information, I never plan on seeing.
I liked the range. It encompassed all the years of movie making, and all countries. It did tend toward the movies that everyone praises, but who really likes them all that much? (*cough* Citizen Kane *cough*)
What's my number? I've seen just over 1/10th the movies on the list, and now I have many more to watch!"
