"This textbook serves its purpose very well. It covers basic topics such as computer terminology, design, and function; networking and security; and the internet. It is written in a very accessible way, presenting terms and concepts thoroughly, along with analogous examples that make understanding how computers work much easier. The text is presented in a question-answer format that allows for an easy breakdown of the topics and actually anticipates the questions of the student. There is plenty of supplementary material, such as sections on topics like careers in IT, protecting your computer, history of the PC, etc.
