About this title: Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama's personal and political background. Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, The Obama Nation is the result of that research. By tracing Obama's career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption ...

"My dear husband ER and I are reading this one together, to understand Obama and his intentions for our country. The heavily footnoted examination of "leftist politics and the cult of personalilty" is a fascinating read. Just finished Obamanation last night. It is a must read for all who want to understand Obama and his intentions for the United States"
"My degree is in political science, so, in general, I like well-written books on political theory. The author's credentials impressed me and I think he did an excellent job with this book. The book's aim is to state facts about Obama which, if the McCain campaign should exploit them, would result in Obama not winning the presidency. It is not a "fun" read and at face value, the writing may seem slanted or pedantic. The material is presented in a very stark, factual manner, and constantly circles back to the author's thesis. However, I think he writes the book in a manner so that he invites the reader to think for her own self. There's not a persuasive tone and there's nothing inferred beyond the truths of the text, which are extensively footnoted. I found my thoughts while reading ranging from "interesting, that explains Obama's policy on a and b" to "ok, that's really a stretch to link x and y". It's a good book for anyone with an independent mind to learn about Obama from an objective standpoint."
"Let me preface this by saying that I do not worship Obama like so many around me seem to be doing. I think he was nominated and is fawned over for completely superficial reasons. There were better people in both parties who could have been our next president.
That said, I believe that Jerome Corsi is only marginally successful at illustrating why Obama wasn't the right man for the job. Where he highlighted Obama's lack of experience and voting record, he was strong. But too much of Corsi's case is built off of a kind of pathological speculation over what made Obama what he is and what he actually believes. There's also the intermittent dumb and snide hit, like when Corsi mischievously throws in mention of Obama's smoking habit. I mean, come on...surely he can do better than that. Churchill smoked, for crying out loud.
Much of the rest of the book implicates Obama using guilt by association. I've always thought this was a weak way to attack Obama. Many people in high office know or have associated with someone that those in an opposite party would take issue with. It is a losing strategy.
More importantly, though, Corsi is wrong about the election...and so was I. (Hindsight being 20/20.) It WAS more about image than issues, as cynical as that sounds."
"Everyone should see the real life of our Golden Boy President. I personally have been skeptic all along and even I've been shocked by all the negative in this book. Some people are going around in a dream world about BO. That's about what he's worth, BO. If you're interested in politics the answers are all on the net. This book is filled with proofs of who Obama is. He looks good on the surface especially with his quick choices of his new cabinets. His choices to me seem strange. It's all about Democratic and he's going back to Clinton. To me that seems pretty far back. The Clinton administration did well with the economy that is true. I just am planning on waiting and seeing. This book was eye opening for sure, so I'll be not very optimistic. Jerome R. Corsi gives the reader a lot to think about. Obama has been researched from beginning to present and can be, because of all the blogs out there. People know what the truth is five minutes after it happens. So Obama what are you going to do, walk across Pennsylvania Avenue and SMOKE THAT CIGARETTE?"
