"The third book in the Georgina Kincaid series. Follows the progression of Georgina and Seth's relationship, as well as the addition of a new character, Maddie (the sister of Georgina's co-worker, Doug). Georgina gives her a lot of advice on coming out of her shell, which works a little too well.
Also reveals more about the relationship between angels and demons (who are angels who, for some reason or other, have fallen). We get to meet Niphon, the imp who originally bought Georgina's soul, and Tawny, a brand-new and incompetent succubus. There is, again, a whodunit element, and a new human psychic, Dante, who is a foil for Erik (a human who is sensitive to immortals and has helped Georgina throughout the three books).
The only reason I rate this one a little lower is that I can't remember it with quite the clarity of the other ones, so I guess it must have made a bit less of an impression."
"I read the "Dark Swan" and "Thorn Queen" books and totally became ingrossed in the world that Richelle Mead created. I think she is an excellent author and quickly becoming a favorite of mine. I wasn't sure I would like the idea of a succubus preying off of mortal men to stay alive. I am really glad I tried it because Richelle Mead writes a heroine in Georgina Kincaid that is very sympathetic. I never thought I would feel that way about this type of book, but I was wrong. Georgina is dealing with relationship issues and the fact that she will never be able to have children. I think it speaks to the type of author Richelle Mead is to be able to write such a character for a paranormal book. This series is excellent and I can't wait to read more about Georgina and her search for happiness."
"This is book 3 of the Georgina Kincaid series. Some things haven't changed from the last book. Georgina is still a shape-shifting succubus. Her and her boyfriend Seth still aren't having sex and their relationship is bumpy. But a few things have changed. She is now under orders to mentor to an inept, new Succubus named Tawny and Georgina is also having her dreams invaded and sapping her of the energy she get's from her human victims.
Georgina starts to investigate her dreams in more detail and goes to a dream interpreter named Dante and her old friend Eric. As Georgina's dreams become more and more real, she fights to find out the truth and deep down prays that her dreams may come true.
My heart breaks at the end of this book. It's not how I wanted the story line to progress but I'm sure Richelle Mead has a master plan for the characters involved. A great continuing story......"
