"do you guys know how amazing sammy keyes is? kay. she is this crazy teenage girl that illegally lives with her grandmother. but thats not the story. the stories are about all these insane mysteries that she solves. sammy keyes is so funny. when i read these books i laugh out loud and people sip their coffee and look at me wondering of theyll remember the number for the local asylum. this ones about moneyyyy. haha so descriptive."
"Sammy Keyes and the Cold Hard Cash is a fine addition to the Sammy Keyes series. I felt that while mystery was featured more in this story, it did not hold much interest for me. In the beginning, I suspected that the money Sammy received may have been counterfeit though I did not keep this in mind as I kept on reading. Several other situations were explored such as Marissa's crisis and her so-called rivalry with Heather. Sammy was kept well in character as usual and I could sympathize with her. Several scenes were memorable, especially Heather and Marissa facing off each other at the pool party. I could even imagine them doing so while reading.
I suppose my rating of 3 comes from the fact that Sammy had to deal with the "mystery" by herself. I preferred it when she and her friend(s) were involved. It was nice to know the progress of her situation with Casey and her mother though -- partly the reason why I keep on reading the series."
