"Read for children's lit class. I got this book because it was rated high on a list of books that both children and teachers like. It's got a dog and a cat on the cover and I figured it'd be kind of hokey, like a live-action disney animal movie. Instead, I found myself pretending I had allergies when I teared a bit at the end. It's a great book to introduce Hurricane Katrina, a concept bigger and scarier than most children are ready for, and it's a sweet true story."
