"so far, there are some fascinating parts. in an age of medical business and a super complicated decision process on the way to and back from the doctor, this is one example of what it is important for the layman to know: alternative approaches and holistic self-knowledge about your own body!!! i fell into the thyroid section right away, which is something ive had to worry about and that has also been a bit mysterious, not satisfactorily answered by my doctors, nor according to the book, to most patients--so it's refreshing to read a passionate account of lifestyle and the way it can affect particular health problems. a worthwhile read for those interested in holistic health and alternative medical approaches!!"
"The premise is that the quality of a person's diet and nutrition may account for many health issues, particularly those related to mood.
While I don't agree with everything the author says, mostly in the appendices, the book does provide much information from other doctors who have performed research into and treat people by looking at their vitamin and mineral deficiencies.
