"This is a wonderful book for the watercolorist who is seeking to take the next step toward painting more freely and loosely. I would not recommend this book for beginners, because you need to have the confidence to let the paint move and join of its own accord. You have to be willing to lay down "pieces" of color, as the author says, and let them do their own thing. But once you do, you'll be thrilled with the results. Reid leads you to you the courage to do this with excellent directions on the use of your brush, your pallet, and your colors. I highly recommend this book for the experienced painter desiring to loosen up a bit."
