There are some beautiful works here, many of them emphasizing, children, animals, and objects familiar to young children. Some are famous, and some new to me, at least. I bought this years ago for our daughter, who was really interested in art at the time, but I found myself enthralled by the paintings themselves. It's like a "picture book," but with some pretty amazing pictures."
