"Not particularly well written, but yet mesmerizing because you just want to get to the end of the story and find the happy ending. I is a revelation to see how even as an adult a person can remain in a cult they see as so flawed and harmful to others. The horror these girls endured is difficlt to read. It shows how blinded by "charismatic" leaders people can be. It should really make us think twice and question the background and history of any organization that claims to be "Christian", and not just accept their description of their religion. This organization still exists and continues to recruit and spread their lies."
"The story of these three sisters is very moving. Public awareness about cults and the dangers that young people face under their influence is a story that must be told. Unlike their parents who chose a life within the cult, these children had no choices--they were removed from their parents, separated from siblings, confined to live in isolated communes, given little education, little medical care, shuffled from country to country, and terribly abused. They lived in fear. This is the story of three children who survived and escaped...there are thousands who didn't and couldn't."
