"This book is really put together in a good mystery form. You want to keep reading to know how everyone gets by. It is about two boys who move in and go to school. But one of there files gets lost. And on the first day of school one of them gets sick so nobody even knows there is suppose to be two of them. So the twins switch off everyday because they wnt to actually be alone without everyone always staring at them because they look exactly alike. so if you want to find out what happens you will have to read the story. And if you want to try to figure it out on your own what they will do when everyone finds out. Read this book."
"In the book Lost and Found, Andrew Clements introduces readers to twins Ray and Jay. While the brothers do find it irritating that they are always being mistaken for the other, they find it to be comforting to have one another as they enter the first day of sixth grade. However, disaster strikes when Jay must make his own way as Ray is sick. When Jay gets to school, he finds out that there is no record of Ray. Readers will not be able to put this book down as Ray and Jay get into mischief, which ultimately leads to them finding out about what it means to be your own person."
"Andrew Clements has a handle on what it is like realistically to be a twin. He chronicles the feelings of these boys who are always fighting for individuality and identity and their adventures as they decide to share one name and therefore go to school only half the time. The adventures ensue. Will they be discovered? What will the consequences be? What do they learn about themselves and the joys and sorrows of being a twin? Will they find their own identity? Great read aloud for a classroom that has a twin to help the other children and teachers realize the difficulties of the situation."
"On the first day of school in a new town, Jay Grayson goes to school by himself because his twin brother, Ray, is home sick. The school seems fine, as new schools go, but Jay realizes something weird--no one seems to be expecting two Grayson boys. Jay revels in the chance to be just himself and not half of a set, and by the end of the day, he's come up with a plan, an experiment, for him and Ray to get a chance to see what it is like to not be a twin, so the boys take turns being "Jay" and going to school. But there are some unexpected bumps in the road, like crushes on different girls, and Ray and Jay have to learn even more about identity and individuality than they thought. Clements has (now grown) twin sons, and the insights into the land of identical twins were very interesting and somewhat eye-opening. An interesting book, with Clements' trade-mark likeable, smart kids and reasonable adults."
