"I actually listened to this book while on vacation. I certainly did not like the reader and her voices she had for the different characters. They are English and there was no accent also the voices did not match the character. So I don't know if I didn't really like the book because of that or if the book just wasn't up to Johanna's usual writing. It seemed like she had to contrive another book to fit the Mallory Family."
"I enjoy Johanna Lindsey's "Mallory" novels. While this one is not my favorite, it was still a good read. It's a typical romance novel. Boy meets girl. Girl doesn't want boy. Boy pursues girl. You get the picture. It is fun and entertaining. It's what I call a light read. There's not too much to think on while reading this one."
"No Choice But Seduction was such a good book. Growing up in a small, boring town Katey became a woman with a big imagination who tended to exaggerate her tales in order to make her stories more exciting. After her mother died she decided to travel around the world and experience a big adventure. She thought that by traveling the world she would live a more exciting life. She didn't know that her journey would end up being her biggest adventure yet. She wins the eyes of Boyd Anderson who tries over and over again to seduce her. He is determined to win her over despite his error in accusing Katey of being Judith Malory's kidnapper! Yet he'll stop at nothing, even rent out his ship so that Katey can tour the world, even though he gets seasick by living at sea! He was determined to get Katey to marry him but she wasn't ready to put her adventure aside. She still wanted to travel the world and she knew marriage would end her journey!
I love how Anthony Malory played a big role in this book. The twist in the story totally took me by surprise. He finds out that Katey is his daughter and together Katey and Anthony find out the truth of why Katey's mother ran away when she was pregnant with her. Anthony never knew he had a daughter and welcomed Katey with open arms. It was such an emotional time for him. Katey also meets her mothers' mother, who she thought disowned her mother years ago and is happy to also be welcomed with open arms. Katey, who grew up quite lonely, was so happy to be welcomed into the Malory family and welcomed by her grandmother. Not only did she find love but her dream of having a big family came true.
I really liked Boyd and I loved the little scheme where he pretended to have saved Katey after she "supposedly" fell off the side of the boat. They were alone together on a tiny island and the whole time Boyd set that up so that he could get to know Katy better and "court" her properly. Too bad it backfired and after Katey found out the truth she was so angry with Boyd. It wasn't until everything about her mothers past came out in the open where she was able to finally agree to marry Boyd. She didn't want to make the same mistakes that her mother made. Never saying what's on your mind could change your life in so many ways! Great Book! I'm hoping there are more books to follow in this series!"
