"This is the worst book I've read all summer. Going to Spain, I thought I'd pick up a quick, entertaining read for the plane and trains. I hadn't seen the movie, so I also figured that I wouldn't have to see the movie. It certainly was a quick read. Was it entertaining? If a washed-up author aiming for mildly retarded middle schoolers and/or aficionados of the movie is entertaining, then as Sarah Palin would say (probably after having enjoyed the book), "you betcha!"
After finishing it, I left it in my tent in the French Pyrenees after my first night on the Camino de Santiago. Hopefully some pilgrim with limited English finds it -- maybe they will have better luck than me."
