"After a guy named swindle cons Griffen Bing out of a baseball card, Griffen fights back. With a team of friends they go into action, but they have to watch out for the gaurd dogs and police.
I love this book. It's full of action and and comedy. It's not the best book I've ever read, but it's pretty close.
I think you should deffenitly read it. The book my look a little confuseing on the front, but don't judge a book by it's cover."
"I felt like this one was difficult to get into. Once I hit the halfway point and they were actually planning the heist and other kids with their different "skills" were getting involved, it got much more interesting. Ben's loyalty is touching and the other characters are humorous. As an adult, though, I often felt smarter and superior to Griffin and wanted to tell him what he should do. I thought it had an all-around good ending though. Not sure about Battle. It is definitely a good boy book and I think girls would enjoy it as well. Whether adults would care for it is the question."
"When Griffin Bing discovers an old baseball card in the creepy old run-down house, he visits a collector called S Wendell Palomino, to check its value and ends up selling it for a couple hundred dollars. Later on TV, Wendell appears showing his vintage Babe Ruth baseball card, recently purchased from Griffin Bing, and states that it is worth millions. He doesn't mention Bing in this announcement. So now Griffin starts putting together a super team to get what is rightfully his back. Unfortunately Wendell has reckoned on this and his house has many things in place to trap/catch Bing and his team but will it work?"
"Sixth-grade Griffin sells a valuable Babe Ruth baseball card for a small percentage of its true value. After finding this out, he rallies a group of kids to help him steal it back. However, to do this, they have to get past many barriers including a Rottweiler and a powerful security system. Each kid involved in the process has a special talent, like controlling animals or climbing through tight spaces.
I can't really say I could highly recommend this odd mystery story, but it was good enough to pass a little time. If you like cliché stories about kids who outsmart adults, this is the book for you."
