"I like Georgina Kincaid more and more. The second book in the succubus series has been a - fullfilled - Christmas wish. Although I liked the first volume very much, I did not feel compelled to start on the second. Other books came in and grabbed my attention. When I started the day before yesterday, heroine Georgiana felt familiar at once and I was drawn into the story very fast. The plot is not as exciting as the first, but I already understood the dilemma Georgiana was facing: Being a succubus who's life depends on taking men's life force - or part of it - during sexual activities and being a woman in love with a guy who's life is consequently too dear for being shortened and weakened. It amazes me, how Ms Mead manages to present a young (centuries old) woman with a strong feeling about humans and being human who on the other hand is awarded by her demonic superiors for her exceptionally evil behavior with the final words: "Keep up the good work." Cracked me up, this one. I look forward to reading "Succubus Dreams" ..."
"I'm having a hard time rating this one. The pacing wasn't as fast as I normally like. I wasn't bored, but it wasn't a can't-put-down-must-finish book. I probably under starred this book.
If I were to rate this as a paranormal romance, I would give it 3 stars. I'm just not seeing the passion between Seth and Georgina, but they are growing on me. Although I did see passion between her and Bastein.
If I were to rate this as a paranormal chick lit (is there such a thing?), I would give it 4 stars. Not enough action to be considered a fantasy/sci-fi action. Although there is enough talk to consider this more paranormal chick lit.
Either way, I enjoy Richelle Mead's writing. Her love scenes are passionate and tasteful. Her descriptive writing lets me easily slip into this world."
"Thank you, Jenna, for letting me borrow this book! I cannot get over how much I enjoy this series. Georgina and the gang are so much fun to hang with (in the me being the book reader sense). I think Carter the angel is my favorite, but I may have a slight crush on Jerome, Georgina's boss who has taken on the image of John Cusack (which is why I have a slight crush on a demon boss). The characters are written so well that I wanted to reach in and smack the radio talk show host, Dana Dailey. She is also head of Committee for the Preservation of Family Values, an uber right wing organization that is against anything that they are not for...I know, I know....but that's how they are. There is something going around Doug's band and friends that is causing personality changes, extreme ups and then crashes. Georgina is trying to figure out what's going on with Doug as well as help Bastien in his crusade. All of this and trying to reconcile her relationship with Seth. This is a fast moving book and I stayed up late on a few nights to just get in a few more pages or one more chapter. One of those danger books dontcha know... Five danger book beans....."

This story filters around Georgina's love life, or what there is of it, Georgina friend and co-workers Doug, starts to show some strange behavior when a new drummer joins his band and Bastien, her best immortal friend who happens to be an incubus (male version of Georgina) and has come to down to try and corrupt a conservative talk radio star.
Georgina's main concern is her friend Doug. His erratic behavior is causing Georgina many concerns and starts to investigate further but finding more demonic means may be at play. She again get's pulled into situations much bigger than she can handle on her own.
A great addition to the Succubus series. The sexual tension between Seth and Georgina is at times heart wrenching but I really love watching the relationship develop between these two."
