"This book presented a number of problems, for me. Firstly, it was poorly written (and edited). In an attempt to present the material in Bass's "down-home" Southern voice, the editor allowed for too much of Bass's poor writing to remain present in the text. It ended up sounding amateurish, at best. Further, regarding the social aspects, I felt that the book basically provided Bass a platform to advocate staying in the closet. For someone who is an openly gay figure, and, ostensibly, a role model for many gay youths, I feel that it is inappropriate to promote such ideas, and possibly harmful to the progress of the gay rights movement. All in all, this book is not worth the effort."
"Lance always was my favorite member of *N Sync so I was very excited to read this book. While Lance tended to repeat himself a lot, the book was a very easy read and you felt as if you were just sitting down with a friend talking as you read the book. I definitely think you should read it if you are or ever were an *N Sync fan! I love you Lance! Keep on rockin' on!"
"Read it. LOVED it. BIG OL' Lance Bass fan. I wrote the longest review on EARTH on my journal when I read it so I won't spew here but suffice it to say I enjoyed it. Not Pulitzer prize winning but it tells his story quite nicely. Proud of him."
