A world away, in the rugged Wyoming wilderness, a tobiano paint horse called Artemesia runs ...

"Horse fans should love this book. Mya goes to live with her grandfather and great Aunt Vi. Horsemanship is in this family's blood. Aunt Vi in an art history professor and studies wild horses. She names the horses after artists. It is a book of suspense and survival.
I listened to the PlayAway version. The narrator made Mya a bit too whiny. It included a discussion of Pam Munoz Ryan's development and research for this story. Ryan fans will not be disappointed."
"This book was one of my favorite books I have ever read. It is about this girl who parents die and she has to go live with her grumpy grandma. But she goes and visits her aunt. While she is there she is horseback riding and finds a wild horse. She tries to catch it but can't. One day it comes to the camp and she finds out that she kind of new the horse in a way. She then keeps it and rides it like she has know that horse for her whole life. I recommend this book if you like to read about amazing animal stories. Also if you love horses. It is an amazing story."
"I gave this book a five star rating because Paint the Wind has horses and I love horses. I didn't like the book just because of the horses though I also liked how the author made something devastating happen. The books shouldn't have all good things, it should have at least one bad thing happen. I think people should read this book so they can learn how to take care of themselves during a hard time."
"this book is really good...in certain parts of the book i could paint a picture in my head of things that the author is talking about and then sometimes i cant. its mainly about a girl who goes to her aunts and learns how to ride horses. and then ends up running away with a horse and gets into a rock slide."
