The origins of flies of the day are given good reviews by fisherman in the US and Canada, various bodies of water that these flies will catch fish. Names of the fly dresser's that have created these works of art.Good reference for those who wanted to know where that fly originated. And of course a few fishing stories. Good winter read waiting for snow to melt and spring to happen.
I would like to know in what world the description "Good Condition" on a book includes; *GRUBBY PAGES; *TORN PAGES; *PAGES WITH INK SCRIBBLES; *WRITING; *CREASED AND FOLDED PAGES; All of these alone make the book NOT good condition. But then.......to have every single picture of "Trout Flies" being cut out of the book and missing, which includes about seven of the total plates......DOES NOT INCLUDE THE WORD 'GOOD' IN THE DESCRIPTION. How about "BREAKER COPY WITH MISSING AND DAMAGED PAGES!" That might have been accurate.
THEN......to have the seller not answer even ONE! of my e-mails asking them about it is just topping on a horrible experience.
BEWARE and don't believe this seller's descriptions of their books......and if you DO purchase from them, don't expect ANY customer service or response from them, (unless of course it entails making more money for THEM!)
HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE business management!
Mary Orvis Marbury's book is the place to start in studying flies and fly tying. (Unless, of course, you are really into the British tradition, in which case you need a few of the earlier British tomes.)
