Very Good + in Very Good + jacket. A square tight solid very carefully read copy. This copy has some very light soil to the edges of the text block, some light edgewear to the green cloth boards, several very light edge bumps, a small nibble to one edge. The 7.95 jacket has some rubbing wear, some edgewear, a small stain on the very edge of the rear panel, a short crease to the rear flap. Author's first book and very hard to find it is.
For anyone who enjoys animals & a rural lifestyle, this is a must read.

I loved this series so much I purchased a set for my cousin.
Some of the stories are sad and some are hysterically funny but, if you love animals, you will love this book.

Love these books!
We love all the James Herriot books and we were delighted to be able to purchase them in hardcover and plan to pass them on to our children and grandchildren. Anyone who loves animals, will love these books.
