The extremities are gently bumped and faded, and the covers are ever so slightly concave. The front cover and spine are very subtly stained. There is a gift inscription on the front free endsheet. In a very good dust jacket. Yellowed and gently rubbed. There is a damp stain on the bottom edge that measures 3 inches wide by 1/2 inch deep. This stain is primarily noticeable on the internal non-visible side of the jacket. The plastic coating of the jacket is nicked and slightly soiled along the top edge of the rear panel. Price-clipped. Signed by James Welch on the front free endsheet, and signed again by the author on the title page. In 1997, James Welch received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Native Writers' Circle of the Americas.
An American Indian travel, circular narrative.
This book really grabbed my attention for pleasure reading.
Once used to the circular narrative, it is quite enjoyable.
The journey drew me in, and the stance made me want a revolution.
Good quick read.
