I have used the original Moosewood Cookbook since it was published in 1977. As a gift I ordered both the original Moosewood Cookbook and the revised version. The revised appears to be more modern about recommended fats and calorie counting, but omits many tasty recipes that I have loved over the years. Also, I found the original easier to read, more conversational, and somehow more charming, I would also recommend the hardcover version, as the paper cover is difficult to keep open. It's a classic cookbook everyone should have.
