This book reviews all of the Crusades from the first Crusade starting in 1095 A.D. to the last one ending around 1250 A.D. It goes into enough detail for the general reader. It also offers a select bibliography for those readers who wish to read in more detail about any particular crusade. I would think it would satisfy the interest level of 80% of readers. One thing that surprised me was the amount of inter-Christian rivalry and even armed conflict among the Crusaders - absent that, I think they would've been far more successful in their mission of retaking the Holy Land for Christianity. What a pity!
