Michael Ondaatje

Michael Ondaatje was born in Ceylon (now Sri Lanka) in 1943. He moved first to England and then, in 1962, to Canada, where he has taught at the University of Western Ontario, London, and Glendon College, Toronto. A poet and novelist, he has had a continuing interest in theatre, film and publishing.
