Richard Scarry

Over a career that spanned five decades, the legendary Richard Scarry created more than 300 children's books, which have sold over 200 million copies worldwide. Scarry began his career as an artist at a variety of magazines and as a freelance illustrator, drawing pictures for children's books. Scarry's stories are filled with irresistible animals, all drawn in his distinctive style that has become recognizable to millions of fans all over the world. Richard Scarry passed away in 1994.
