Rip Esselstyn
Rip Esselstyn was born in upper New York state and moved to Austin, Texas in 1982 to attend The University of Texas where he was an All-American swimmer. After spending 10 years as a professional triathlete Rip joined the fire department in 1997. He now travels year-round lecturing and performing seminars on Engine 2 eating. He is the author of The New York Times bestseller The Engine 2 Diet.
