Ian Tew

Ian Tew has been involved with the sea all his life, sailing across the Solent alone aged 10 to sailing around the world. He served time with British India Steam navigation Company Ltd when he was a junior cadet on the ill fated Daria blown up and sank with heavy loss of life in the Persian gulf in 1961. He joined Selco Salvage Singapore in 1974 and with them was involved in more than 60 salvage jobs performed on Lloyds Open form, 'no cure, no pay'. He is author of Sailing in Grandfather's Wake...
