Zane Grey

Zane Grey was born Pearl Zane Gray in Zanesville, Ohio, in 1872. He took his first trip to Arizona in 1907 and, following his return, wrote Desert Heritage. More than 109 films have been based on his work, a record that remains unbroken. He died in 1939 at his home in California.
