Giorgio Caproni

Giorgio Caproni (1912-1990) was born in Livorno (Leghorn), Italy. He fought in World War II and was a member of the Partisan Resistance. The author of many volumes of poems and trans lator of a number of works from the French, he is considered one of the giants of twentieth-century Italian poetry.
