Egon Ronay

Egon Ronay is a national institution. Arriving in Britain from Hungary in 1946, he started his own restaurant, then began publishing the famous eating-out guides ten years later. There is no doubt that they have played a huge part in the revolutionizing the experience of eating out in the UK and Ronay has been an early champion of many of the most influential chefs working in this country, including Marco Pierre White and Raymond Blanc.
