Charles A Lindbergh

Charles A. Lindbergh (1902-1974) was an American aviator who completed the first solo transatlantic flight on May 21, 1927. Nicknamed "Lucky Lindy" and "The Lone Eagle," Lindbergh was the recipient of numerous national and international honors and awards throughout his life, including the Pulitzer Prize for an expanded account of the flight he published in 1954.
