Bill Reed

Reed was brought up in Warwickshire. After leaving school, he worked with a local firm as an apprentice stonemason. He joined the TA in April 1939 and was posted to Sinagpore in 1942. He was a Japanese prisoner of war. In 1958, Bill suffered a complete mental breakdown which was directly linked to his time as a POW of the Japanese.
