Hahn's coverage for Newsday expanded to the NBA and the New York Knicks in 2006, but he has remained an avid hockey scribe and has occasionally written articles for "The Hockey News" and "USA Hockey Magazine", and has been a guest on MSG Network's popular show, Hockey Night Live. He has authored two hockey books, "Fish Sticks: The Fall and Rise of the New York Islanders" and "Birth of a Dynasty: The 1980 New York Islanders".
