GOOD. 5 X 7.5. Gilt title on spine. Gold decor trim and picture of boy with train on cover. Light shelf and edge wear with corner rubs. Gilt has faded on spine and very little on cover. Bookplate of previous owner pasted in on the paste-down. Paste-down and free endpapers have printed characters. Paste-down and free endpaper in back is becoming separated from spine but still together. Few pages have small dirt marks and page discoloration. Uncut pages. This is certainly a classic and darling book with poems and pictures. Good condition considering the age. _PAB_
Ernest H. Shepard. Very Good. Duodecimo, 103pp., dark cherry red cloth, gilt stamping, top edge gilt, 1928 inscription on verso of free endpaper, light acidic burn to gutter of half-title, leaf 51/52 creased but professionally repaired (photo available), otherwise a very fresh copy. The third in the classic quartet of Milne's Pooh cycle. Christopher Robin is a bit older, and Winnie-the-Pooh is a trifle rounder, but excellently depicted by Ernest H. Shepard.

E. H. Shepard. Very good in good dust jacket. Really nice copy of the first printing of the first American trade edition with dust jacket. ix, p., 1 l., 103 p. front., illus. 20 cm. Includes Illustrations. Audience: Children/juvenile. The orange cover is clean and bright-slight (very slight) rubbing on the top and bottom of the spine and bottom edge of the cover. Light toning on the free front end paper; no pencil/ink marks; no inscriptions/signatures; no bookplate; small neat bookseller's label on the rear paste down end paper. Gilt decorations and title on cover; gilt title on spine-both are bright. The dust jacket is intact and nice looking for its age. It has some small tears and chipping at the top and bottom of the spine. A small portion of the dust jacket title on the spine is missing but other than the usual toning, it's really in good shape. The dust jacket in now protected in a Bro-Dart jacket.
Ernest Shepard. About Very Good. No Dj. 12mo. 1st Printing. Milnes' 2nd book of poems, featuring Winnie-the-Pooh and Christopher Robin. It has dark red cloth with gilted borders and an impressed, gilt illustration on the front cover showing Christopher playing with a toy train engine and on the rear, Pooh and Piglet buying tickets on the rear. This is a very decent first printing with a very good interior with some foxing to the half-title page. Page tops are gilted. The cover has light wear to the extremities and the gilt decorations are still bright. The spine ends are a little bumped with a little rubbing. A true first edition.

A good plus copy in the publisher's original gilt-blocked cloth with inlaid colour-pictorial to front panel. Slightest suggestion only of dust-dulling, toning, with some light edgewear/rubbing. Remains particularly well-preserved overall; tight, bright, clean and strong.
Fine, Leather Bound, Accented in 22kt gold. Printed on archival paper with gilded edges. The endsheets are of moire fabric with a silk ribbon page marker. Smyth sewing and concealed muslin joints. This book is in full leather with hubbed spines. A pristine volume.; 8vo 8"-9" tall.

Small quarto volume (6.5" by 9.5"), 202 pages. Bound in a light green cloth spine, with titles in gold, and striking maroon patterned batik boards, housed in a light green paper-covered slip case with the titles in black on a pink paper label affixed to the front panel (moderate edge wear and soiling). The outer edges of the lower corners of the pages of the book show a light damp stain, as does the interior of the slip case.
