"I have this book in hardcover at home and have also bought it in paperback for my desk at work. And then slowly bought three more copies to give to friends. It's great to supplement the excellent Roget's International Thesaurus 6th Edition. This reference book often suggests possible words I might otherwise never have thought of but that exactly satisfy my needs."

another reference niche filled, May 24, 2007

"this book is pure fun. one entry leads to another, just like any good dictionary. the flip side of this gem is that it's organized in ways that blend a thesaurus with a dictionary with a desk reference set.

my favourite element is the lists of related terms. just thumbing from one such list to the next is quite an education, especially about things you thought you already knew all about.

give it a flip..."
