Alicia de Larrocha, Spain's leading pianist for most of the last half of the twentieth century, has been well-known for her interpretations of the music of Isaac Albéniz, the piano composer who brought Spanish nationalism in music to the attention of the rest of Europe.This album comprises the major piano suite, Cantos de España, Op. 232, and six other pieces, mostly from late in his career: Zaragoza, Malagueña, Mallorca (Barcarola), Zambra granadina, La Vega, and Azulejos.
