?Why did I Get Married?? is an inspiration for all audience-married and unmarried, all races, and all walks of life. The direction is phenomenal, music is exquisite, and all actors and actresses have done a superb job (even though Janet Jackson seems to be ?worshiped? by the other actors/actresses in the Special Features section). The movie, with all-Black characters of high education, self-identity, gainful employment and fame, has the potential to elevate the morale of the Blacks who may feel hopeless about their lives or dream of a life of prosperity for themselves. The characters, with their own personal problems that make them human, are role models and hope for them.
