The ' Do It Over Machine' Finally Works

by mehaul on May 7, 2010

TITLE: Slipstream GENRE: SciFi, time travel near term CAST: Sean Astin, Ivana Milicevic, Vinnie Jones PLOT: Nerd loser finally makes a breakthrough in his field of research, time slipping. He is under surveillance though by some FBI agents as he has been cited by his bosses as having questionable loyalties. Add the nerd and agents to some bank robbers, re-do it a couple of times and it'll eventually come out the wat you want. RETURN ON INVESTMENT: 7.5 of 10; For the laughs alone when you spot the errors in production and editing and for all the fun you'll have pointing out how poorly it was directed, the value is there. The actors do their parts well. The graphics involved in the slipping are trite, made to look scientific and just fail. But, saving it from complete failure is a well developed story. DVD BONUS: None ADDED NOTES: There are some places where you will have to stop the film to figure out what just happened. Bad rating aside, I did enjoy it and Sean Astin is proving to be one of the most talented actors of the last two decades. So watching him do his job is never a bust. Now explain why the bus driver sits on the right side of the bus?
