How much does it cost to ship my order?
The shipping and handling cost depends on where and how you want your items shipped. See our Shipping, Tracking, and Delivery page for more details. Please note that orders for multi-volume book, music or movie sets, exceptionally large or heavy books, and/or ephemera are subject to additional shipping and handling charges. We'll contact you for authorization if additional charges apply.
Why am I being charged shipping for a $49 order?
To qualify for free Super Value Shipping , your order must contain $49 or more of eligible books, and you must select a U.S. shipping address. All eligible listings display our 
Super Value Shipping truck. Items purchased from one of our independent sellers are not eligible for Super Value Shipping, because these items will be shipped to you direct from that seller. If you qualify for Super Value Shipping but your order also contains one or more ineligible items, you'll be charged regular shipping and handling fees for those ineligible items. Please note that music and movies are not eligible for Super Value Shipping.
What is Super Value Shipping?
We offer free or discount shipping on all listings that display our Super Value Shipping truck. Because these items are in our own warehouse, we can often consolidate your order and save you money by shipping them together. Order one eligible book at our regular low shipping cost, and we will automatically apply discounted shipping rates to each additional book in your cart that also displays our Super Value Shipping truck. Order $49 or more of eligible books and the shipping is FREE .

Can I have my order shipped to an address different from my own?
We can ship your order to just about any address you give us. When you place your order, you'll be asked to enter both a shipping and billing address--they don't need to be the same. See our Shipping, Tracking, and Delivery page for more details.
Will all of the items in my order ship together?
All of the items in your order that are listed as shipping from Alibris will be shipped together whenever possible. Items that are from one of our thousands of independent sellers will ship separately, direct from each seller.

Does UPS require a signature?
UPS usually requires a signature to complete delivery. If you are unable to receive your delivery personally, you can leave a signed consent notice on your door advising UPS where to leave the package. We typically ask UPS to obtain a signature for all shipments valued at $100 or more.

Do you ship to locations outside of the United States?

Who pays import duties and taxes for an order shipped outside the United States?
If you are one of our non-U.S. customers or if you are the recipient of a gift order and live outside the United States, you may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are assessed when the package reaches your country. You are responsible for these and any other additional charges. Most carriers assess applicable duties and taxes when the shipment from us arrives in your country. If more money is owed, they will send you a letter notifying you of the charges and the steps you need to take to receive your package.
Unfortunately, we can't control or determine the duties and taxes that will apply to your order. Because policies vary, please contact your country's customs office for more information. When ordering from us, you are the importer of record and must comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country in which you are receiving the goods.
If you know that the U.S. Postal Service will not deliver to your shipping address, please provide your mailing address for delivery of your order. When you place an order we check for P.O. Boxes and APO's to ensure that only the U.S. Postal Service will ship your order.
