I enjoyed reading this book. Took a rather long time for me to read as there were so many pages. The story was adapted from a true story of 12 women who left to go west, along with their husbands and families. It was sad how the women lost the men folk to death, and what they all endured, but were determined to arrive at their destination. Jane Kirkpatrick is a very deep writer, but I enjoy her style of writting.
