Nice Translation

These stories hold up very well with translation. Exceptionally well written also. I breezed through this book and found it accurate in the art of story telling. However, it was even more grim in parts than the Brothers Grimm, for it is also violent and sexual in some areas. I would classify it more as "adult" fairytales, and although it is a nice volume, it just isn't my cup of tea.
Enchanting perhaps, but very adult too. Perhaps, just perhaps, I like happy endings when it comes to fairytales....
