This book beats all the classics I have read, because it is not about other people but about the most personal joy one feels at some time in his/her life. It explains in the minutest details and in crystal clear thought/speech and in practical terms the experiences leading to the joy that one experiences "by the totality of ones self " when in communion with the unexplainable “other”- or the source of our happiness.
It includes poems of othe rlone travelers of the earth all short and sweet and is a total guide to those "without the feeling travail in desire". The book is an assurance that feelings like - a light lights the lights rays on the mountain top - are not lunatic but are common to others who are ride the clouds. Or explains why one gets bored with the world when this light is seen. And that martyrs are not crazy but cannot help loving the “other” to the extent of self-naughting. It is explains the "blessed assurance" that makes you calm and quiet. It urges you on when you are on over the mole hill to the true mountain.
A must read for anyone wanting to experience creative surges. It appeals even to those who have not thought about the subject as sadly the “Cloud of unknowing” or “Dionysius” do not make sense unless one is ready in some sort of way.
The book leaves a taste of loveliness at each reading of even a sentence or paragraph. and there a re that many pages to it! Warning: can be addictive!
